To have incoming calls ring to a SIP extension, you’ll want to ensure a number tied to your PBX is associated with one of your SIP extensions.

What to do when the SIP Extension is busy

Overview

The call forwarding configuration of the SIP extension the phone number is associated with will need to be adjusted to have incoming calls directed to the SIP extension sent elsewhere if it is busy.

Calls can be forwarded to either another extension on the PBX, another SIP extension, a voicemail extension, an announcement extension, etc or to an external number which can be accomplished from the SIP extension configuration page or by forwarding the call to an extension that forwards calls to an external number.
